Box Lacrosse National Team Seeks Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Physio
We are looking for new team members to strengthen the women’s box lacrosse coaching staff and support preparations for the 2026 European Championships.
The women’s box lacrosse national team is preparing for the 2026 European Championships, which will take place in Prague. We are now looking for three key members to join the coaching staff: head coach, assistant coach, and physio.
The current head coach will transition to a player role in the spring to focus on their goal of joining the men’s European Championship team. They will remain involved in the coaching group to support the handover to the new staff. The program is on going and the new coaches are expected to jump in as soon as selected, but also remote involvement is an option at the beginning of the year.
What we’re looking for in a Head Coach:
- Experience in coaching box lacrosse
- Ability to lead the team toward international competition
- Flexible and solution-oriented attitude
- Strong collaboration skills with the coaching group and players
For the Assistant Coach:
- Coaching experience and a desire to grow as a coach
- Motivation to develop players and support the Head Coach
- A flexible and solution-oriented mindset
- Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the coaching group and players
For the Physio:
- Experience in sports physiotherapy or strength & conditioning, preferably in contact sports
- Good understanding of sports physiology and injury prevention
- Experience in treating sports injuries
- Ability to work as part of the coaching team from January until the end of the Championships
- Initiative and adaptability in dynamic situations
- Flexible and solution-oriented attitude
The European Championships will be held in summer 2026, and preparations are ongoing. All roles are voluntary but offer a unique opportunity to help build the success of Finland’s women’s box lacrosse team.
