License 1.4.2025 - 31.3.2026
The Finnish Lacrosse Association continues its cooperation with Pohjola Insurance Ltd. Players pay for their personal Association licenses and any insurance directly themselves. The Association also offers the opportunity to purchase personal sports insurance through the license system.
The prices for licenses and insurance are as follows:
A-license (born on or before March 31, 2010): License €45 / Sports insurance €440
B license (born 1.4.2010 - 31.3.2013): License 45€ / Sports insurance 80€
C-license (born on or after April 1, 2013): License €15 / Sporttiturva insurance €19 **NOTE! Insurance is mandatory for C-license buyers**

Those over 18 years of age are allowed to play matches under the association without insurance. By purchasing a license from the Finnish Lacrosse Association, you accept this disclaimer. In this case, any injuries during training, traveling to association events and matches are the person's own responsibility. Personal accident insurance may also be used. However, they usually do not cover competitive sports.
The insurance also covers accidents that occur abroad, but not possible additional travel costs, cancellations, etc.
Insurance is mandatory for those under 18. The insurance must be either through the association's insurance contract or there must be written proof of accident insurance covering competitive sports and lacrosse from the insurance company.
The license part is mandatory for every person playing in matches under the association. It must be valid before the player's first game in the association's series. When paying for the license, keep the receipt as proof of payment.
Sports insurance is temporary
The insurance will enter into force on 1 April 2025, when the insurance premium is paid during April 2025. After that, the insurance will enter into force at 24:00 on the day the insurance premium is paid or from the time of payment, if a receipt showing the time of payment is presented. The license fee and any insurance fee must be paid in one payment. Payment must be made no later than the day before the player's first match.
