Lacrosse in Finland

Lacrosse has been the fastest growing game in Northern America for over a decade. This fast growth can also been seen in Europe where new countries have established lacrosse programs with a growing pace.

Lacrosse arrived to Finland in the summer of 2001 when the Finnish Lacrosse Association was established. The association was established to drive the growth of the game in Finland and to maintain international relations. A year later, the first lacrosse club was established in Helsinki, thus being the oldest member club.
